Based on positive experiences abroad (especially with AUDI and BMW), BLM now proposes a global solution BLM can supply the tools and human resources needed for:
Joint analysis: Purpose: the torque and repeatability of a power tool are influenced by the characteristics of the joint on which the tool must work, especially its stiffness. To characterise the joints: Analysis of the joint by means of a series of tightening curves expressed as torque/angle. Acceptance and control of power tools: Once you know the tightening angle of each joint, you can then check the behaviour of the power tool by simulating the behaviour of the relevant screw on the test bench. Product control: BLM workers will take a certain number of measurements for each joint in order to find out whether these meet the tightening torque and to point out any systematic non-conformities. Control software: At this point the circle is complete, apart from the fact that a cumbersome series of data is obtained, which can't be treated on paper without the use of specific software. Corrective action: Already, during the joint mapping stage, you can assess whether the nominal torque is too much for a joint by observing the tightening curves. Personnel training: The customer can decide to purchase the tools and train its own staff so that, after the initial stage and having implemented a suitable control method and control software, it has the necessary conditions to continue independently .
